Prop Firm Drawdown Calculator
See how the same equity path changes under static, end-of-day and intraday trailing loss floors. Enter your own parameters and observations; this is not a live account monitor.
Build a loss-floor scenario
Use plain USD decimals with at most two fractional digits, without commas or exponents. Extra fractional digits are rejected, never rounded. Each entered amount is limited to ±$1,000,000,000; starting balance must be zero or positive and allowance must be positive. A zero starting balance and zero or negative floor caps are supported when the cap is at or above the initial floor. Calculations and breach comparisons use integer cents. All amounts are absolute USD account values, including unrealized P&L where observed. Defaults below are illustrative, not a firm preset. Start a new simulation for each program stage.
What the three models calculate
- Static: floor = starting balance − allowance. Profits do not raise it.
- EOD trailing: reference peak is the greatest starting or submitted closing balance. New floor = max(previous floor, reference peak − allowance), limited by your optional floor cap.
- Intraday trailing: every submitted equity observation can increase the reference peak. The same trailing formula then applies immediately.
For a cap of $50,000 and allowance of $2,000, the reference peak that reaches the cap is $52,000. The cap is the final floor, not a profit target. An uncapped model keeps trailing. A static model ignores the cap.
The same path, different outcome
Start at $50,000 with a $2,000 allowance. Observe an open-equity high of $51,500, then $49,500, and close at $50,500. The static floor stays $48,000. The EOD floor stays $48,000 during that session and moves to $48,500 at the close. Intraday trailing moves the floor to $49,500 at the high; a subsequent touch of $49,500 breaches under the touch-inclusive setting. That account cannot be restored by a later recovery in this simulation.
Source-based distinctions
Checked November 2, 2026. Topstep’s Maximum Loss Limit help page distinguishes EOD floor updates from real-time loss monitoring, and describes separate starting balances for Trading Combine and Express Funded accounts. This calculator does not implement its payout-triggered floor change.
Topstep’s drawdown explainer distinguishes fixed floors, closing-balance trailing and unrealized-equity trailing. Tradeify’s Level Up V2 FAQ gives a current example of a fixed floor within each level; level transitions and resets are outside this tool.
What this result cannot establish
No breach means only that the submitted observations stayed above the simulated floor. It does not prove an account survived between observations or that a trader qualifies for a payout. This model excludes fees, commissions unless already included in your values, daily limits, withdrawals, resets, separate realized-balance trailing, platform rounding and account-specific transition rules. Read the exact program terms before choosing inputs.
