Check the ratio.
Know the boundary.
For rules that compare the largest winning day with total net profit. Enter the policy threshold yourself; the calculator does not select or certify a firm’s rule.
How the calculation works
Current ratio = largest winning day ÷ total net profit × 100. For an inclusive limit, the target total is the best day divided by the threshold as a decimal, rounded up to the next cent. A strict limit requires the first cent strictly above that boundary. Inputs are rounded to cents and thresholds to basis points.
Worked boundary example
A $1,000 best day at a 40% inclusive limit requires $2,500 total profit. Strictly below 40% requires $2,500.01 under this cent-based model. From $2,000 total profit, those imply $500 or $500.01 additional profit.
When this model does not apply
A firm may define consistency using another denominator, adjust for commissions, use a different period or apply its own rounding. Topstep's evaluation target calculation is one example of a different model. Use the current policy and dashboard for actual account eligibility.
Assumptions that matter
The largest day must stay unchanged for this target to hold. Further losses raise the additional profit needed; a new largest day changes the target. Zero or negative total profit has no positive-profit ratio here. Meeting the ratio does not satisfy qualifying days, safety nets, minimum payouts or compliance checks.
