Passing an evaluation changes your account stage. It does not automatically give you cash to withdraw, preserve the same drawdown rules or place you in a live brokerage account.
Three stages to identify before comparing
- Evaluation: pay for an attempt, meet a target and obey the evaluation rules. Evaluation profit is not automatically withdrawable.
- Simulated funded: trade under a separate agreement. Payout eligibility can depend on profit, qualifying days, consistency and a safety net. Some firms charge activation.
- Live: a further transition with its own risk controls, costs and allocation. Do not apply simulated-account terms to it without checking.
A concrete stage change: MFFU Rapid 50K
The reviewed Rapid configuration has a $3,000 evaluation target and a $2,000 EOD evaluation loss distance. Its simulated funded account uses a $2,000 intraday trailing floor. Evaluation consistency is 50%; the reviewed funded stage has no consistency test. “No funded consistency” therefore says nothing about the evaluation test.
In the funded stage, an intraday equity high can raise the floor before the session ends. A strategy that survives an EOD evaluation may encounter a different constraint after passing. The product page and detailed article also describe the floor lock differently; see the retained note in the exact Rapid listing.
A different transition: Topstep Standard 50K
The reviewed Trading Combine costs $49 per monthly cycle, with $149 activation after passing. Its XFA starts at a displayed $0 balance with a −$2,000 floor, rather than showing a $50,000 cash deposit. EOD trailing and the eventual $0 lock matter more than the nominal account label. The Standard and Consistency payout paths have different qualifying requirements.
Make a stage checklist
- Write down the exact program, size, add-ons and agreement version.
- Record floor timing and breach enforcement for each stage.
- Separate the fee to enter from the retained-profit buffer to withdraw.
- Record which profits and trading days count toward the first request.
- Check whether approval moves you to a simulated account or a live one.
Does funded mean a guaranteed payout?
No. A request can require additional conditions and review. A published profit split describes the allocation of an eligible payout; it does not prove eligibility, future payment or the firm's solvency.
Next: compare floor mechanics or build a first-payout checklist.
